Roof Overview – Elastomeric Membrane

Elastomeric MembraneThe elastomeric membrane, also know as bilayer roofing systems, are a very resistant roofing system.  They are refered to as bilayers because an underlayer is glued full adherence to the roof structure and then, a top layer is welded to the underlayer with a torch.  The top layer being covered with thin gravel, it protects itself for sun dammages.

Though, this type of membrane is more costly than others.

the elastomeric membrane that we use (SOPRALENE® FLAM 250 AR) will provide you with a highly watertight roofing system due to its ripstop characteristics and its non-woven polyester reinforcement.
